Film on Direct Action in Environmental Activism, Seattle

Thurs Oct 25, 7 pm, at Seattle Mennonite Church, 3120 NE 125th Street, Seattle; Screening of film The Reluctant Radical; film explores the path that led Ken Ward from acting within environmental organizations to taking direct action civil disobedience instead despite the personal costs. He hopes to awaken people to the climate crisis caused by fossil fuel use. Ken Ward and Michael Foster– two of the five Valve Turners who shut off all tar sands oil to the United States –will be present to discuss their actions and answer audience questions after the film.
